Parent Teacher Conference

Last Thursday we had Weston's parent teacher conference. As it is a mother's right to brag about how smart their children are, I must do so now. Weston had some testing (NWEA) he had done earlier in the school year for math and reading. Based on kids his age in reading he was in the 97th percentile and for math he was in the 98th percentile. He had a glowing report from his teacher as well. We are very proud of our little Einstein.

This past weekend we had our last camping trip of the year. Excellent weather and great campsite. However, the mosquitos and bees were insane. I'm still discovering new mosquito bites and itching them until they are raw. And poor Cambria got stung at the top of the playground slide. But being the tough bird she is, cried for maybe 10 seconds then slid down the slide, and headed back for more. Weston made a friend Sarah with whom he became smitten with. He was keeping an eye on the playground in case she showed up there. After cleaning the camper on Sunday and detailing the van yesterday, I have the task of cleaning and putting away everything we removed from the camper for the winter. My house is such a mess at the moment. And look and me blogging instead of cleaning.

One last thing, Weston received his school pics back yesterday. Isn't he handsome? Don't worry family, pics will be going out in tomorrow's mail.
